Some of you are using or would like to use Outlook.com due to it’s enhanced feature set and access anywhere and sync to phone including contacts. The following is an abbreviated list of steps for setting it up. Microsoft has a verification procedure that may need to be completed before you can make your email the default send to address.
- You need an account on Outlook.com, they are free.
- Goto Settings, More email settings. This can be found by clicking on the gear icon close to the top right of the Outlook.com window.
- Then click on “Your email accounts” in the left column.
- Then click on the “Add a send-and-receive account” button.
- Click on the “Advanced options” link.
- Enter your email address in both the Email address box and the Username box.
- Enter “secure.emailsrvr.com” in both of the Server address boxes.
- Then hit Next.
- Now at the bottom of the Email accounts window, select the new account as the Default “From” address.
Once you have the Microsoft Account setup as above, you will need to set your TranSoft Labs email to forward to the Outlook Account.
