Some of you hate the loss of features and configuration of the Skype replacement for Hotmail Instant Messenger. Here is how to set up our suggested replacement.
- Download and install Trillian. You will need to set up an account with Trillian but the free one will work just fine. You can get it here: https://www.trillian.im/
- First, add your Hotmail account as a Windows Live Messenger account.
- Then you will add the email as a new POP3 account. Use your Microsoft login as your email, Username, and password. Use pop3.live.com as the incoming mail server.
- Make sure they are connected and you are good to go.
